First thing in the morning, we’ll be visiting Bodbe Nunnery, to clean our spirits, so we can enjoy the marvelous day. Bodbe nunnery is the resting place of St. Nino, who preached Christianity in Georgia, back in the 4th century
Visit the town of love, Sighnaghi. A beautiful, small 18th-century fortified town, located on top of the hill. 4.5 Km wall is imposing, especially on a sunny day, when you can enjoy the Alazani valley along with the wall.
Enjoy a homemade lunch in a family, with the freshest ingredients from the family's garden. Learn about the lives of locals and see their farm. Savor the true flavors of the Kakheti region, learn about the tradition of toasting and practice with wine, Chacha, and Brady. After lunch, take part in a Churchkhela masterclass, a Georgian sweet.
Visit a small, local natural wine cellar where the host will guide you through Georgia’s traditional winemaking process and share personal stories of experience. After the tour, enjoy a tasting of natural wines, served with local snacks and warm hospitality.
Finally, visit Telavi, the capital of the wine region. Take a small walk to help digest the alcohol. Discover the town’s theater, fortress and a 1,000-year-old tree before heading back to Tbilisi.
